Sophomore guard Tashon Brown shot 5-for-6 from inside the three-point arc and beyond as Lake Forest hosted and defeated Beloit College 100-69 on Wednesday.

Brown's 10-for-12 shooting performane netted him a game-high 25 points and he added four assists and a pair of steals in the contest. Junior guard Sean Espinosa and senior wing Aram Arslanian added 21 and 20 points, respectively, and combined to shoot 17-for-27 from the field.

Lake Forest, which entered the week ranked eighth in the nation with a .507 shooting percentage, connected on 64.1 percent of their field goal attempts and on 11 of 21 three-pointers on Wednesday. The home team also had more steals (10) than turnovers (9) and, led by senior guard Sam Husting's six rebounds, had a 28-22 advantage on the boards.

Beloit shot 49 percent from the floor and knocked down 10 of 25 attempts from three-point range but could not keep up with the Forester offense. Lake Forest opened up a 10-point lead (26-16) after less than five minutes of play. A 12-2 run late in the opening period made it a 21-point game and that was the margin again with a halftime score of 56-35.

The visitors pulled to within 14 points early in the second half but got no closer. The score was 73-56 with less than 12 minutes remaining before Espinosa scored nine points and freshman wing Reece Taylor seven during a 16-0 run that put the game well out of reach.

The victory evened the Foresters' overall record on the season at 6-6 and improved their Midwest Conference mark to 3-2. Beloit fell to 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Lake Forest will travel to Knox College on Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
