BLUFFTON, Ohio – Albion College shot 50 percent from the field for the third time this season as it cruised to an 80-54 victory over Otterbein University in non-league men's basketball action in the McDonald's of Bluffton Holiday Classic.

The 26-point margin of victory was the largest for Albion this season, eclipsing the 24-point win it enjoyed over Earlham College in November. The margin of victory in Albion's six other victories has been single digits.

Albion scored the first 11 points and never trailed.

Caden Ebeling and Quinton Armstrong, the starters in the frontcourt, combined for 27 points (while shooting 12-of-19 from the field) and 12 rebounds.

They received support from Justin McAbee and Alex Warman who came off the bench to establish career scoring highs. McAbee made all four of his shots and finished with eight points. Warman, a senior from St. Joseph, Mich., added seven points while shooting 3-of-4.

Josh Palo, a first-year student from Howell, Mich., led the backcourt with career-highs of 12 points and four assists. He knocked down 4-of-7 shots from 3-point range.

Albion, now 8-2 overall, will take a couple of days off to ring in the new year. The Britons will return to practice Wednesday as they prepare for their final non-league game of the season, a 3 p.m. Saturday home date against Case Western Reserve University.
