The visiting Ducks from the Stevens Institute of Technology defeated the Baruch College Bearcats, 82-74, in a Thanksgiving Week contest on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The loss ends a 17 home game winning streak in the ARC Arena for the Bearcats, dating back to the 2017-18 season.

The Bearcats trailed throughout a majority of the non-conference contest as Stevens managed to stay ahead by shooting 48 percent (26-for-54), which included 59 percent (13-for-22) in the second half.

The Bearcats hung tough and stayed close thanks to a strong hustle of 16 second-chance points, compared to only four by the Ducks in that category.

Michael Richards sank a free throw to cut the deficit to 55-53 with 9:39 left, but the Ducks responded with seven straight points to build up a 62-53 advantage. That run proved fatal as the Bearcats could only get as close as four points the rest of the game.

Adnan Bajrami led three players in double-figure scoring with 16 points. Sean Donnellan had 14 points and Benjamin Boateng had 10 with nine rebounds.

Spencer Cook and Alec DiPietrantonio led the visitors from the MAC Freedom Conference with 17 points each.
