MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Benedictine University men's basketball team scored a victory over the host, Rhodes College, to win the Rhodes Tip-Off Tournament.

THE DETAILS
Rhodes jumped out to an early 9-2 lead five minutes into the game
Kyle Graebner connected on a three-pointer as Benedictine scored the next 12 points to open a 14-9 advantage on a Kenny Bogus jumper with 13:23 left in the first half
Benedictine would not trail again, opening a double-digit advantage at 28-17 with 6:22 to play in the first on a layup from Mike Boatright
The hosts, who defeated Millikin the night before, pulled within two in the final two minutes of the half but Benedictine held a 35-30 lead at the break
A basket from Eric Grygo five minutes into the second again extended the lead to double figures at 47-36
Grygo opened a 14-0 run moments later as Benedictine started to pull away, leading by 26 at 66-40 following a three from Bogus just before the midpoint of the second
Benedictine went on to lead by as many as 29 points in claiming the tournament title

Benedictine shot 51.6 percent from the floor in the win and held a 38-26 advantage on the glass
Grygo logged a second straight double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds
Grygo, who led the nation in field goal percentage last year and has been eased back into the lineup, finished 10-for-11 from the floor
Bogus tacked on 13 points with seven rebounds and eight assists
Boatright totaled 12 points and added four steals as Benedictine scored 20 points off turnovers
16 players appeared in the contest
