FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College's Michael Riley hit eight 3-point field goals on his way to a career-high 27 points to lead the Blazers past Lycoming 87-68 in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest.

- Riley went 8 of 16 from behind the arc in the game, the most 3-pointers in a contest for a Hood player since Ryan Junghans hit a school-record nine in January 2008. The junior posted his second straight double-double with 11 rebounds.

How it Happened
- Hood came out on fire, jumping ahead 35-7 in the opening 12 minutes. The run closed with four straight steals by the Blazers' press. Evan Wang scored six points in a 45-second stretch and had two of the four steals. Tyler Evans had a steal and Anthony Pearson had a steal and the remaining score in the stretch.
- Wang and Riley hit 3-pointers that stretched Hood's lead to 31 points but Lycoming cut the deficit to 44-23 at halftime.
- Darius Dangerfield hit three 3-pointers in a 17-6 run to start the second half, pulling Lycoming to within 50-40 after a Markanthony Fidelis 3-pointer with 14:16 remaining.
- Fidelis hit a pair of free throws with 10:02 to play that chipped the Blazers' edge to just six, 57-51. Riley hit a pair of free throws, then a 3-pointer to stretch Hood's lead back to double figures, 62-51, with 8:35 remaining.
- A Calvin Chandler 3-pointer made it a nine-point game with 7:55 on the clock before scores by Evans and Christopher Smalls pushed the Hood advantage to double digits for good, 68-55, one minute later.

- Dangerfield scored 23 points for the Warriors. Fidelis finished with 18, Chandler had 15 and Matt Ilodigwe added 10.
- Hood held a 42-33 rebounding advantage.
- The Blazers' bench outscored its counterparts 26-2.
- Lycoming shot just 32 percent from the floor in the contest, including only 4 of 18 inside the 3-point arc.
- Hood improved to 10-6 overall and 4-3 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth. Lycoming dropped to 7-10 and 1-7.
