Andre Harris led all scorers with 20 points and William Sixsmith had 17 to lead the Baruch College Bearcats to a 91-59 CUNYAC home win over the Cougars of Medgar Evers College on Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.
With the result, the Bearcats improve to 10-3 overall and stay undefeated in conference play at 4-0. The win also stretches their home winning to streak to nine, dating back to last season.
The Bearcats scored the first 11 points and took control in the first half shooting 58 percent (18-for-31), while limiting the Cougars to just 27 percent (9-for-33).
The Cougars did manage later to get as close as 14 points (63-49) with under seven minutes left, but a 7-0 run by the Bearcats quickly turned the momentum back for the win.
Harris narrowly missed a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. William Sixsmith had five 3-pointers for his 17 points. Allen Villar had 11 points with seven rebounds, while Bryler Paige contributed 10 points.
Justin Sutton led the visitors with 18 points.
