How It Happened
• The Royals blitzed the Spartans early as they blew out to a 13-2 lead 3:59 into the game. The Spartans got a traditional three-point play from Jared Wagner, as York cut the Scranton lead to 21-14 with 10:56 left in the half.
• Scranton then hit York with a quick 7-1 spurt as the lead grew to 13 at 30-17. York kept the Royals from turning the game into a pure rout as Scranton's advantage vacillated between eight and 13 points over the next four minutes of the game. York cut the Scranton lead to eight on a pair of Jason Bady free throws with 1:46 left in the half. Unfortunately for York, the Royals ended the half with seven straight points as Scranton took a commanding 46-31 lead to the break.
•Things didn't get any better for York to start the second half. The Spartans scored four of the first six points of the half but Scranton scored eight of the next ten points of the game as the lead ballooned to 19 with 15:41 left in the game. York would get no closer than 16 as the Royals ensured there would be no Spartan comeback as they scorched the nets to the tune of 59.3% shooting from the floor in the second half.
