Big Blue Men’s Basketball Remains Unbeaten

          The Millikin men's basketball team remained undefeated on the season defeating Westminster College 74-69 on November 15 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.

          It was all Millikin in in the first half as the Big Blue jumped out to a 23-5 lead over the first six minutes of the game. The Big Blue led 40-27 at halftime.  Millikin had trouble with the Bluejays pressure in the second half, which allowed Westminster to fight its way back into game. Westminster pulled to within four with three minutes left to play, but Millikin held off the rally down the stretch.

          Millikin shot 49 percent from the field, but struggled from three-point range hitting only 4-17. Westminster shot 37 percent and was 6-26 from beyond the arc.

Millikin won the rebounding battle 48-22.

          The senior duo of Elijah Henry and DaVante Harrell led the Millikin attack. Henry had 22 points and 11 rebounds with Harrell scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Calvin Fisher had 11 points for Millikin and Korbin Farmer added 10.

          Kobe Wands led Westminster with 23 points with Romo Tabb adding 20.

          Millikin is now 4-0 while Westminster falls to 0-2.

          Millikin will play at Aurora University on November 21.
