NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Manchester University battled Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference co-champion and postseason tournament top seed tooth and nail for 40 minutes Saturday, Feb. 17.

Kenny Doss, appearing in his final collegiate contest for the Black and Gold, produced 17 points to guide three Spartans in double figures. The Chicago, Ill., native added seven rebounds to his day that helped headline Senior Day 2018 for MU's five-man senior class. Junior guard Adrian Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind.) added 16 points, seven assists and four rebounds, and Frankfort, Ind., native Brody Kirby, also a senior, turned in 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists in his final outing at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.

With that trio leading the attack, MU (6-18 overall, 4-14 HCAC) held as large as a nine-point advantage in the opening frame. Rose-Hulman rallied back for a 34-32 halftime edge and managed to stay at arms length in the final half in route to a 77-70 victory. The Fightin' Engineers closed the battle out at the charity stripe going five-of-six in the final minute.

Doss and Kirby were joined by classmates James Callegari (Plainfield, Ill.), Justin Lukens (Herrin, Ill.) and Enis Becirevic (Fort Wayne, Ind.) in a pre-game recognition ceremony. The group wound up their collegiate careers with two HCAC postseason tournament berths and double-digit win campaigns as part of 34 triumphs.
