KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team defeated Wells College 74-63 on Tuesday at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.

Keuka College (9-9, 7-4 NEAC) was led by a 21 points and 12 rebound performance from Trevor Powell (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn). Dylan Doupe (Phoenix, N.Y. / John C. Birdlebough) scored 17 points and James Barnes (Rochester, N.Y. / University Prep) added 16 points for the Wolves. Both Doupe and Barnes grabbed nine rebounds in the win.  

Keuka College 74 vs. Wells College 63

The Wolves fought hard early in the game on Tuesday to contest Wells College's three-point shooting. The first 15 points for the Express was off of the three ball. However, the Wolves had an 11-3 run to take a 20-15 lead with 12 minutes left in the half. Wells College worked the Wolves advantage down and took the lead at 6:17 with a layup. Cliff Stevens (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa) quickly answered with an offensive rebound and tip-in to give the Wolves the lead right back. The Green and Gold scored the final five points of the half to lead 41-34 at the break.

Keuka College maintained their lead for the first part of the second, but Wells began to cut into the margin. A layup by the Express gave Wells a 50-49 lead with 10 minutes left to play. Their lead would grow to three-points, but back-to-back baskets by Dylan Doupe and Trevor Powell pushed the lead back to the Wolves. Once again, the three-point shooting of Wells proved key as the Express took the lead at 58-56. Trevor Powell responded with a three on the next possession and Keuka College would not surrender the lead for the final six minutes of the game. Starting with Powell's three, Keuka College would outscore Wells College 18-5 to end the game with the 74-63 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory.

• It is the second win of the season against Wells College for the Wolves. Keuka is now 6-15 all-time against the Express
• The victory was the 50th North Eastern Athletic Conference win for Head Coach Thad Phillips
• Trevor Powell recorded his fourth double-double of the season and sixth of his career
• Powell has recorded double-digit rebounds in three straight games
• Trevor Powell has surpassed 600 points in his career
• The Wolves had a +24 rebounding advantage, grabbing 51 in the win
