Arlington, VA:  The #5 Ramapo College men's basketball team earned their first win the season 80-67 over Marymount University to capture third place at the 5th Annual Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament. Ramapo evens their record at 1-1 overall while Marymount now stands at 0-3 to start the season.
 
Thomas Bonacum was named to the All-Tournament team; he scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in the win. Christopher Moseley led the team with 16 points while he posted six rebounds of his own while Patrick Peterson added 11 points off the bench for the Roadrunners.
 
Ramapo led from the opening basket as Moseley scored the first seven points for the team taking a quick 7-2 lead. A 10-0 run by Ramapo put them up 17-2 before Marymount's Brandon Rogers scored a three-pointer with 14:30 left in the half.  Josh Ford gave Ramapo their biggest lead of the half, 38-22 off on a made layup as Peterson earned the assist with 5:16 to go in the half. Marymount cut the lead to 40-24 before Ramapo ended the half on an 8-3 run, including the final basket of the first half, a layup from Jordan Zagadou as Ramapo took a 48-27 lead into halftime.
 
The Roadrunners led by as many as 24 points four times in the second half the final time coming with 5:40 left to play when Bonacum made a layup for a 74-50 lead. Marymount outscored Ramapo down the stretch 17-6, while Ramapo still held a 13-point lead as time expired and earned an 80-67 road victory. The Roadrunners scored 50 points in the paint to Marymount's 24 while they scored 24 points off of 22 Marymount turnovers. Ramapo shot 50% from the field (30-60), 25% (2-8) from the three-point line and 78% (18-23) from the free throw line.
 
Dimitri Rucker led Marymount with 18 points, five rebounds and one blocked shot while Brandon Rogers scored 13 points, including three three-pointers and three assists. The team shot 37% (22-58) from the field, 26% (6-23) from the three-point line and 63% (17-27) from the free throw line.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, November 21st when they host NJAC rival William Paterson University at the Bradley Center at 7:30pm.  The Roadrunners defeated the Pioneers twice last season, 92-76 on the road and 108-85 at home.
