CINCINNATI, OHIO – Three Manchester University players wound up in scoring double digits, highlighting a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference road trip Saturday, Dec. 2.
Freshman guard/forward Cornell Hampton (Griffith, Ind.) turned in his best collegiate effort to date, tallying a team-leading 17 points to go with seven rebounds off the bench in 29 minutes. Senior forward/center Enis Becirevic (Fort Wayne, Ind.) registered his third successive double-figure contest with 13 points, and junior guard Adrian Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind.) who earlier in the week became the 29th member of the Black and Gold's 1,000-point club, ran his 10-points-per-game string to 12 straight with 11.
Unfortunately, the trio's totals couldn't off-set Mt. St. Joseph University firing better than 55 percent from the field overall and outside the arc at the Harrington Center. The Lions scored 28 of the first 42 points and didn't look back in route to a 75-60 victory.
Manchester University (1-5 overall, 0-2 HCAC) returns to Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for a non-conference collision with President's Athletic Conference foe Thomas More College Wednesday, Dec. 6. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
