Millikin Men Lose to Platteville

         The Millikin men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season falling to Wisconsin-Platteville 74-60 on November 25 at the Rocky Mountain Thanksgiving Classic in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

         Millikin lead much of the first half, before Platteville pulled out to a 36-32 advantage at the half.  The game was tied at 48-48 with 11:43 remaining before Wisconsin-Platteville went on a 10-2 run to pull away.

         Millikin shot 48 percent from the field and went 5-14 (36 percent) from three-point range.  Wisconsin-Platteville hit 43 percent and went 11-24 from three-point range.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 34-26, but was hurt by 21 turnovers.  Platteville committed 14 turnovers.

         Elijah Henry led Millikin with 13 points.  Levi Laws had 11 points, four assists and four rebounds.  Korbin Farmer added eight points and seven rebounds.  DeVante Harrell had eight points, three assists and three rebounds.  Jordan Cunningham had seven rebounds and five points.

         Carter Voelker led Platteville with 16 points.

         Millikin is now 3-1 on the season while Platteville improves to 4-1.

         After playing its first four games on the road, the Big Blue will play its home opener on Monday, November 27 at 7 p.m. against Rose-Hulman.
