Baruch Improves to 7-2 in CUNYAC, Defeat York (68-56)

The Baruch College Bearcats defeated the Cardinals of York College, 68-56, in a CUNYAC home contest on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 38-29 halftime lead and led by at least nine points throughout the second half en route to a comfortable 12-point home victory.


Chimaechi Ekekeugbor led in the scoring column again with his eighth double-double of the season of 22 points, 11 rebounds and two steals.

Bryler Paige also had solid effort with 10 points, while Jack Sixsmith established another career-high in assists with 10. Eight different players scored in the win.

Josh Perez led the visiting Cardinals with 15 points and three steals in 40 minutes.

The Bearcats will return to action on Monday, January 23, with a 7 p.m. non-conference home contest against Penn State-Altoona.
