Ramapo Remains Unbeaten With Win Over FSC

Old Westbury, N.Y. - Ramapo improved to 9-0 on the season after an 88-73 non-conference win over Farmingdale State this evening in Old Westbury, N.Y. The FSC men's basketball team now stands at an even 4-4 on the year.

The Roadrunners held a nine-point edge, 24-15, with 10:04 left in the first half and used an 11-0 run over the next 2:23 to open up a 35-15 advantage.

After a Nick Stanek (Royersford, Penn.) layup with 2:28 remaining put Ramapo ahead 43-26, the Rams closed the half with seven unanswered points capped off by a Liam Monaghan (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) 3-pointer to go into the break trailing, 43-33.

With 16:19 remaining and FSC down 53-38, the Rams answered with a dunk from Eddie Higgins (Bellmore, N.Y.) and a Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) jumper to close within 11, 53-42.

Farmingdale State cut the deficit to single-digits at 59-50, before a 12-0 Ramapo run extended their advantage to 71-50. The Roadrunners held a double-digit lead the remainder of the game for their ninth consecutive win to open the season.

Monaghan scored a game-high 19 points and had four assists, while sophomore guard Ryan Kennedy (Maspeth, N.Y.) scored 12 points and had a team-high four steals. Graham finished with 10 points, four assists and two steals for the Rams.

Ramapo was led by junior forward Christopher Moseley's (Fair Lawn, N.J.) 14 points, five steals, four assists and two rebounds. The Roadrunners recorded 25 assists on 32 made baskets in the victory.

FSC next will square off against Bates at the NYU Classic (at Hunter College) on Thursday, December 29th at 7:00 p.m.
