WESTFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore guard Peter Mafo (Lynn Classical/Lynn, Mass.) scored 18 points to lead Westfield State to a 94-75 win over the University of New England (Me.) at the Woodward Center on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference men's basketball game.

In the second half, Westfield extended its lead to as many as 23, 69-46 on a Pasquantonio jumper with 11:02 left in the half.

The Nor'easters got the lead down to 17 on a three-pointer by Jean-Luc Parker (Georgetown, Texas) with 6:27 to play, but Westfield answered with a layup from Evan Hopson on the next possession, and the Owls maintained a comfortable buffer for the remainder of the game.
