MADISON, N.J. (Dec. 8, 2016) - The Drew University men's basketball team rallied past Farmingdale State College, 81-72, in an exciting non-conference matchup on Thursday night in Baldwin Gymnasium.
 
By the Numbers: The Rangers snap a two-game skid and improve to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in Baldwin. The Rams drop to 3-3 and 2-2 away from home. It was the first meeting in history between the two squads.
 
Top Performers
• Junior guard Yonathan Napoleon scored a season-high 25 points on the night, one short of a career-high, giving the Rangers the second half push that they needed to shake off Farmingdale State. He passed out four assists to lead Drew's distribution.
• Sophomore center Nate Aldrich shot 6-of-8 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free throw line to total 16 points. He also pulled in 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the year.
• Sophomore guard Darius Reiter finished the night with 13 points, including four 3-point field goals during crucial moments of the second half to go with seven rebounds.
 
Turning Point: It was a slow first half for the Rangers, shooting only 22 percent from the field and going 0-of-12 from the three-point line, but they were able to rally as they came out with overwhelming energy to start the second half. The Rangers immediately connected with two 3-point field goals from senior Joey Feinberg and Reiter. In the first five minutes of the second half, Reiter and Feinberg scored a combined 14 points to give the Rangers a 10-point lead.
 
Highlights
• A 10-2 run by the Rams, capped by a three-point play, gave the Rams their largest lead of the game, 23-15, with 2:23 to play in the opening half.
• Midway through the second half, Napoleon exploded offensively, scoring nine points in under two minutes of play. The points came off of a three-point play, and two shots from beyond the arc.
• Within the first few minutes of the second, Reiter turned his offense around by hitting two well-timed triples after going 0-for-5 in the first half.
