DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's basketball team fell to undefeated Neumann University, 105-77, at home as the Knights placed five players in double-digit scoring.

The Aggies fell to 3-5 on the year while Neumann saw its perfect record improve to 7-0.

DelVal led by as many as six as it opened up a 13-7 lead after Tyliek Kimbrough fed Manny Brown inside for a slam and his second straight basket. However, the Knights executed a 24-8 run over the next nine minutes of action behind 17 combined points from James Butler and Carl Wallace to take a 31-21 lead with six minutes to play in the half. The Aggies closed out the stanza with a 3-pointer from Mike Cianciulli and a jumper from Kimbrough in the final minute to cut the deficit to seven, 43-36, at the break.

Neumann was a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe in the first half compared to just 4-for-8 for DelVal.

The Aggies opened the second half with a dunk from Brown and a layup from Kimbrough, both off of steals, to pull within three points, 43-40. Once again, the Knights had the answer with an 11-2 run that extended the lead to 13 with five different players scoring during the spurt.

DelVal was able to cut the deficit to 10 points just twice the rest of the way, the last coming with 11:30 left in regulation after a pair of free throws from Brown made it 62-52. From there, Neumann was in control the rest of the evening, outscoring the Aggies, 43-25, the rest of the way.

The Knights grabbed 50 boards in the game and shot 54.3% (38-for-70) from the field compared to 36 rebounds and 39.7% shooting (27-for-68) for the Aggies.

DelVal was led by Kimbrough's team-best 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Brown had 14 points and seven boards while Andre' Butler was in double figures with 11 points. Tyrea Williams added nine points and seven rebounds while Dom Stiefel scored seven points in as many minutes.

For Neumann, DeShawn Lowman led the way with 20 points followed by Butler's 19 while Wallace and Tyaire Hudson each had 16 points and Tony Parker also reached double digits with 10 points. Darian Barnes grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Aggies will be back in action Tuesday December, 13 when they host Kean University at 7 p.m.
