Clark converted on an old fashioned three-point play to get the deficit down to single-digits but the Laker offense was too much to handle. Oswego's lead swelled up to 24, before taking a 22-point lead into the halftime break.

The lead continued for the Lakers until the final 3:52 of regulation, as Maritime closed out the game on a 7-0 run. Camara had a bucket before Spruill dropped five points, in his first game against a SUNYAC opponent since his freshman season while playing for Fredonia.

Maritime (1-1) will play in the consolation game of the Max Ziel Tournament on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., when the Privateers meet the Elmira Soaring Eagles (0-2).

Elmira lost to Canton (1-0), who will play Oswego (1-1) for the Max Ziel Tournament Championship following the Maritime-Elmira contest.
