BABSON PARK, Mass.—Senior Joey Flannery (Acton, Mass.) led four players in double figures with 17 points and third-ranked Babson College set a single-game school record by shooting 70.4 percent from the field on its way to a 99-49 win over visiting Anna Maria College in non-conference men's basketball action on Friday night at Staake Gymnasium.

With the win, Babson is now 3-0, while Anna Maria drops to 0-2 on the year.

Flannery was 6-of-8 from the floor and added four rebounds and four assists for the Beavers, who put 14 players into the scoring column. Junior Nick Comenale (New York Mills, N.Y.) scored 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting and classmate Bradley Jacks (Fort Washington, Md.) contributed 12 points. Senior Sam Bohmiller (Franklin, Mass.) and first-year Tyler Colon (Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif.) each chipped in with nine points and senior Matthew Droney (Canton, Mass.) led all players with five boards.

First-year Mike Rapoza (Charlton, Mass.) finished with 14 points and nine rebounds for the Amcats, who made nine of their first 13 shots and led by as many as five in the early going. Anna Maria took its final lead of the night at 23-22 on a layup by junior Kenneth Graham (West Haven, Conn.) with 9:22 to go in the opening half before the Green and White responded with a 39-5 run to seize control of the contest.

Comenale scored eight points in an 11-2 spurt that put the Beavers up 35-25, and Jacks and Flannery combined for nine points late in the stanza to push the advantage to 47-27 at the break.

Babson scored on six of its first nine possessions to begin the second half, getting five points from Flannery and four more from Nelsen to extended its lead to 61-28 at the 15:35 mark. The hosts went to the bench with more than 13 minutes remaining, but Colon and senior Charlie Rice (Barnstable, Mass.) scored the Beavers' next 17 points as the advantage stretched to 82-43 with 5:59 to go.

The Green and White shot 72 percent in the first half and knocked down 38-of-54 attempts from the floor in the game. The Beavers went 11-of-19 from three-point range, outscored the Amcats 42-22 in the paint and put up 31 points off of turnovers.

Anna Maria was held to just 38.8 percent (19-of-49) and was outrebounded 29-20.

Babson will wrap up play at its Invitational Tournament on Sunday when it hosts Endicott at 2 p.m., while the Amcats take on the Gulls inside Staake Gymnasium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
