ROCHESTER, NY – Nazareth drained a season-high 13 3-pointers (13-of-31) to cruise to a 90-65 home victory over Stevens Institute of Technology Friday night at Kidera Gymasium.

Nazareth moves to 16-8 overall and 12-3 in conference play, while Stevens falls to 12-12 and 8-7, respectively.

Nazareth started red hot from three-point land, burying seven of its first nine from downtown in the first eight minutes to move out to a 27-9 advantage.  Mitch Ford drilled his first three from distance and Josh Gillard started 2-for-3.  The Golden Flyers entered the game last in Division III in 3-point field goals per game at 4.3.

Stevens used a 22-7 run over a six minute span to draw to within 34-31 after Nazareth had a stretch of cold shooting.

Six different Nazareth players got in on the 3-point action in the first half, with Nazareth draining 11-of-18 (61 percent), surpassing its previous game-high of 10 it set against Ithaca earlier in the season.

Gillard led the way on 4-of-5 for 12 points.  Ford was an efficient 7-of-10 from the floor for 17 points.  The Golden Flyers led 57-38 at the break.

Stevens never threatened in the second half and Nazareth's lead ballooned to as many as 27 points at 90-63.

Gillard finished with career-highs in points (18) and 3-point field goals with six (6-for-11).  Ford poured in a game-high 24 points (8-of-14) and grabbed eight boards.

Mills tied a career-high with 18 rebounds in the game, to go along with 11 points for the double-double.  It was his sixth double-double of the season.

Stenglein poured in 17 points of his own (6-of-12) and dished out nine assists.

Nazareth closes out the regular season against Utica College at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Senior Day.  The Golden Flyers can secure the number two seed for the Empire 8 Championship with a win, or a Hartwick loss at Ithaca.
