(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Thomas More College men's basketball team shot 58.2 percent from the field tonight (Wednesday, February 10, 2016) as it stormed past Geneva College, 88-47, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at Metheny Fieldhouse in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

With the win, the Saints improve to 13-9 overall and 10-5 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Golden Tornadoes fall to 3-19 overall and 3-12 in the PAC.

Thomas More shot 65.4 percent (17-of-26) from the field, including 57.1 percent (four-of-seven) from behind the three-point arc in the first half as it built a 44-23 halftime lead.  The Saints shot over 50 percent in the second half as they shot 51.7 percent (15-of-29) from the floor, including 50 percent (six-of-12) from behind the arc as they cruised to the 88-47 victory.

The Saints' defense forced 22 Geneva turnovers and converted them into 29 points.  Thomas More had a 40-30 advantage in points in the paint and the Saints' bench out-scored Geneva's bench 33-7.

Freshman guard Brandon Horne (Louisville, Ky./Male) led the Saints in scoring with 22 points.  He was joined in double-figure scoring by junior forward/center Simon Clifford (Louisville, DuPont Manual) with 12 points and freshman center Junior Stockwell (Florence, Ky./Boone County) with 10 points.  Freshman guard Ryne Callahan (Morehead, Ky./Rowan County) just missed double-figures with nine points.  Freshman guard Damion King (Winchester, Ky./George Rogers Clark) led the team on the boards with five rebounds and led the team in steals with five.  Horne led the team in assists with three.

Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (February 13) when it travels to Washington, Pennsylvania to play Washington & Jefferson College.  Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. inside the Henry Memorial Center.
