(GROVE CITY, Pa.) – Junior forward center Simon Clifford (Louisville, Ky./DuPont Manual) scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Thomas More College men's basketball team to a 64-56 win over Grove City College tonight (Wednesday, January 27, 2016) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 11-7 overall and 8-3 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 12-6 overall and 7-4 in the PAC.

Thomas More raced out to a 27-12 lead with 3:58 to play in the first half when freshman guard Brandon Horne (Louisville, Ky./Male).  Grove City closed out the first half on an 8-2 run to cut the lead to 29-20 at halftime when Tyler McGrath made a lay-up with 27-seconds to play in the opening half.

The Saints opened the second half on an 11-4 run capped by a Clifford jumper with 16:11 to play in the game to increase the lead to 40-24.  Grove City answered with a 32-20 run to cut the lead to 60-56 when Stephen Tam made a three-pointer with 54-seconds to play in the second half.  That would be as close as the Wolverines would come as Thomas More closed out the game on a 4-0 run for the 64-56 victory.
