MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The fourth-ranked Benedictine University men's basketball team was held to a season low point total, but still managed to score a 15-point win on the road over MSOE on Saturday.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine trailed just once in the contest at 2-0 after missing the first two attempts from the floor
• Adam Reynolds evened the score and Luke Johnson put Benedictine ahead for good with 17:48 left in the first half
• Johnson started an 8-0 run with a layup at the 15:52 mark of the first and made the score 14-5 with another layup with 14:08 remaining
• MSOE fought back within two points at 14-12, but Benedictine would move ahead by double figures at 28-18 with just over seven minutes left in the half
• The hosts scraped within a single point in the closing minute of the half before a three from John Dodson and a dunk from Johnson made the score 37-31 at the half
• Another dunk from Johnson opened a 9-0 run that extended the margin to 13 at 51-38 with 9:42 to go following a pair of free throws from Tim Reamer
• MSOE crept within eight but a 14-2 stretch made the score 67-47 with just over two minutes to play
• The previous low point-total this season was 75 in a win over North Central on December 22
• Already owning the single season record for consecutive wins, the victory set the school record for longest win streak after matching the 17 straight set over two seasons from 1964-66

"I thought we played with some good energy today," head coach Keith Bunkenburg said. "We had some really good looks in our offense and just missed some shots. We were able to hit the glass hard and had some great chances in transition. We just have to keep winning, and grabbing a road win today is huge."
STAT LEADERS
• Johnson logged his fourth consecutive double-double by leading Benedictine with 21 points and adding 14 rebounds along with four blocks for the school's single season record holder
• Johnson owns nine double-doubles this season and finished 10-for-11 from the field
• Dodson scored 16 points with Michael Blaszczyk adding 10
• Benedictine shot 50 percent from the floor including 55.2 percent in the first half
• Benedictine held MSOE to just six field goals in the second half and a 26.1 percent shooting clip, finishing the game at 33.3 percent
• Benedictine finished with a 45-32 advantage on the glass
