RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The fifth-ranked Benedictine University men's basketball team matched a school record by cruising to a 15th consecutive win with a 103-67 victory over Concordia University Chicago.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine did not trail in the contest, breaking a 2-2 tie by scoring seven straight with four different players scoring points in the run
• Concordia Chicago evened the game at 18-18 with 12:23 to play in the first half
• Tahron Harvey opened an 11-0 run with a layup moments later and a Tim Reamer layup with 9:38 remaining made the score 29-18
• The hosts whittled the lead down to 36-33 at the 5:34 mark but did not score again in the half
• John Dodson opened a 15-0 run on a layup with 4:42 left in the first and a three-pointer from Luke Johnson just before the buzzer made the score 51-33 at the half
• The run extended to the second half as Benedictine opened on a 25-4 run, making the entire stretch 40-4
• Benedictine led by as many as 42 in the second half, using a 15-0 run over a five-minute stretch to put the game out of reach

"I felt like we didn't have a lot of energy on defense in the first half of play," head coach Keith Bunkenburg said. "We talk about starting and ending a half well to create momentum and we certainly did that tonight. This was a good win on the road."
STAT LEADERS
• Four of the five starters reached double figures in the game, all reaching the mark before the half
• Johnson and Harvey each scored 15 points with Johnson grabbing 14 rebounds and adding six assists
• Adam Reynolds scored 14 points and Dodson finished with 12
• 18 players saw time in the contest with 13 cracking the scoring column
• Benedictine opened the game by shooting 58.8 percent in the first half and the national leaders in field goal percentage finished at 49.3 percent after cooling off down the stretch
• The bench scored 38 points as Benedictine amassed 62 in the paint
• Benedictine held a 58-31 lead on the glass and have outrebounded five consecutive opponents and have outrebounded nearly every opponent this season
• The 103 points marked the second time this season that Benedictine surpassed the century mark and the 12th time with 80 or more including the fifth straight
