The No. 20 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team posted its second straight 100-point performance Sunday night in a 108-90 triumph over Concordia Texas in a non-conference contest on the first day of the Pikes Peak Holiday Classic at Colorado College.

The Warhawks (7-2 overall) shot 58.3 percent from the floor to post their second straight 100-point performance for the first time since the 2003-04 season.

UW-Whitewater's offensive output was its highest since a 134-95 win over Grinnell (Iowa) on Nov. 28, 2009, and came just seven days following a 107-84 victory over Concordia Chicago.

The Warhawks shot 32-of-39 from the free-throw line (82.1 percent) and held a 23-to-12 assist-to-turnover ratio despite facing a high-tempo, pressure defense by the Tornados (5-2).

Senior guard Trinson White tallied a game-high 22 points to go along with a team-best nine rebounds and was one of six UW-Whitewater players to score in double figures.

Making his Warhawk debut, junior guard Haki Stampley recorded 19 points, seven rebounds and a team-high four steals. Junior forward Cole Van Schyndel contributed 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting.

Junior guard Drew Bryson and sophomore forward Tyler Edmondson collected 1 points apiece, and freshman guard Mitchell Pfeifer tallied 10 points and five rebounds.

Freshman guard Andre Brown dished out a career-high 10 assists, his third straight effort of five or more assists.

UW-Whitewater built a 41-25 advantage following a pair of free throws by Pfeifer with 2:40 to play in the first half, but Concordia Texas narrowed the margin to six by halftime.

Stampley recorded five straight points to push the Warhawks' lead back to double digits by the 18:45 mark of the second half, but the Tornados responded again to cut their deficit to one possession with 15:50 on the clock.

UW-Whitewater posted a 12-4 run over the next three minutes, capped by back-to-back baskets by Bryson, and never led by fewer than eight the rest of the way.

The Warhawks finished with a 54-40 edge on points in the paint and scored 19 points off Concordia turnovers, including 12 in the first half.

UW-Whitewater continues play in Colorado Monday at 6 p.m. Central Time against Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham (N.J.).
