The Golden Eagles made six of their 20 field goals in the first half for a .200 shooting percentage while CCNY went 13-for-27 for a .481 field goal percentage.

City had their biggest lead of the game at the 6:41 mark where they led the Golden Eagles by 20 points. CCNY went into the locker room with a comfortable 31-21 lead.

St. Joseph's (LI) came out strong in the second half, looking for a victory on their home court. City continued to play their game and came out with baskets and rebounds. The biggest difference in the game was City's ability to score 11 points off of second chances. While the Golden Eagles outscored the Beavers 41-38 in the second half, it was not enough for St. Joseph's as City picked up another victory on the early season.

CCNY finished the game with 42 rebounds and an impressive .519 field goal percentage. Robbie Dionisio notched his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 14 rebounds. David Solano led the team with 20 points, while Mark Richards added 12.
