Sowah became the 19th New Paltz men's basketball student-athlete to reach the 1,000-point plateau, as he achieved the milestone in the final game of his career and finished with 1,018 points. Sowah, who had 11 double-doubles throughout the course of the season, ranked second in the SUNYAC in rebounds per game (9.5) and seventh in the conference in points per game (15.0). He also led the team in assists per game (2.8) while also averaging 1.7 steals per game and 0.4 blocks per game. The Hawks finished their season at 11-14 overall and 9-9 in the SUNYAC, marking just the second time in 16 years that the program has achieved at least a .500 record in conference play.
