BOSTON, Mass.—Senior guard Luc Ulysse (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led four Beacons in double-figures, as UMass Boston men's basketball earned the season-sweep of Plymouth State University with an 86-52 rout Saturday afternoon at the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium.

Ulysse finished with a game-high 22 points and tied for the team-high with his six assists, as UMass Boston earned back-to-back conference wins for the first time since February 5-11, 2013.

With the win the Beacons push their overall record back over .500 (12-11), and improved to 4-8 in the Little East Conference.  For the Panthers, they dropped 7-16, 2-10 in the conference.

The Beacons roared out to a 15-point halftime advantage and never looked back, as they shot a season-high 63.5 percent (33-of-52) on the night.

The Brooklyn, New York native was one of four Beacons that finished in double-figures, with Omar Benabicha (Saugus, Mass.) finishing second on the team with 18 points.  Carl Joseph (Brockton, Mass.) dropped in 13 points, while Gregory Young (Dorchester, Mass.) finished with 12.

Young also dominated the glass with a team-best nine rebounds, and finished with a game-high six assists.  Ulysse also handed out six assists to cap-off his team-leading performance.

UMass seized control of Saturday's contest in a big way in the first half, as they shot 61.5% (16-for-26) from the field.  From behind the arc, the Beacons were nearly perfect as they finished 4-for-6 (66.7%).  Joseph led the first 20 minutes with nine points, followed by Benabicha with eight.  Young grabbed six boards to go along with seven points and three assists.

After the break, Ulysse fueled the Beacons with his 15 points, with Benabicha right behind him with 10.

Their red-hot shooting continued in the second, with UMass shooting 65.4% from the floor, 75.0% from behind the arc.  Defensively, UMass smothered the Panthers all afternoon, holding them to just 40.0% shooting on the day.

On the glass, UMass held a 29-26 advantage, but it was the work they did in the offensive paint that made all the different as they scored 44 of their 86 points under the basket.

Men's Basketball returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to the University of Southern Maine for a 7:30 p.m. conference game.
