DE PERE, Wis. - St. Norbert College held an opponent to the lowest point total since the NCAA adopted the shot clock in 1985-86 with a 75-30 win over Carroll University in a Midwest Conference game at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (17-1, 13-0 MWC), ranked No. 14 in the D3hoops.com Top 25, won for the 37th consecutive time against a MWC foe. Carroll's 30 points are the lowest for a St. Norbert opponent since UW-Green Bay scored 30 points against the Green Knights on Feb. 7, 1973.

St. Norbert turned in a virtuoso performance right from the opening tip, taking a 19-0 lead almost 8 minutes into the game. Austin Elliott, Steven Hofacker, Andrew Schwoerer and Hofacker scored on the Green Knights' first four possessions. Terrence Garner's layup just 3:49 into the game was good for a 10-0 advantage and forced Carroll (8-10, 5-8) into calling its second time out.

Schwoerer's hoop with 12:08 left in the half put the Green Knights ahead 19-0. Carroll finally broke the ice when Jacob Rink split a pair of free throws at the 9:15 mark. St. Norbert went nearly four minutes without scoring as the lead shrunk to 21-7, but the Green Knights answered with a 6-0 run on a conventional three-point play by Schwoerer and a 3-pointer from Mitch Winter.

St. Norbert, which led 32-11 at halftime, went on a 15-0 run early in the second half after the Pioneers scored the first two points of the period to salt the game away, leading 47-13 with 12:41 left.

The Green Knights shot a lusty 59.2 percent for the game, making 29 of 49 field-goal attempts. A total of 16 different St. Norbert players reached the scoring column. Schwoerer was the only St. Norbert player to reach double figures with 15 points. Schwoerer, who now has 1,314 career points, is ninth at St. Norbert in career scoring and is the first Green Knights to reach 1,300 points since 1990.

Carroll shot 19.4 percent (7-for-36) from the floor. The Pioneers scored 16 of their 30 points at the free-throw line. Brian Nagy led the Pioneers with eight points.
