Baruch Defeats Medgar Evers to Stay Undefeated in CUNYAC (10-0)

The Baruch College Bearcats received scoring from 14 different players to record a 74-43 CUNYAC home win over the Cougars of Medgar Evers College on Friday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats built up an 18-point halftime lead (33-15) and limited the Cougars to 29 percent shooting (16-of-55) the entire game to stay undefeated in conference play at 10-0. They have also now won eight of their last nine games overall.


Granville Gittens, who was honored pre-game with a 1,000th point career ball, led the Bearcats with 14 points by shooting six-of-nine from the field.

Joshua Gener(8pts, 5rbs), Bryler Paige(8pts, 8rbs), and Aaron Pulver(5 pts) all contributed to the win off the bench.

Zavier Coston led the visiting Cougars with 17 points and seven rebounds in the loss.

The Bearcats will next travel uptown to play the Bloodhounds of John Jay College on Tuesday, February 3, at 7:00 pm at the "The Doghouse".
