Boston, Mass. – Sophomore forward O.J. Moore (Houston, Texas) had 19 points and five rebounds to lead the Fisher College Falcons to a 71-62 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in men's basketball action this evening.  Trinity falls to 13-5 with its second setback in a row, while Fisher, an NAIA school, improves to 16-5 with its second consecutive victory over and NCAA Division III institution, having won at Wheaton (Mass.), 79-69, on Monday..

The game began at a fast pace with Trinity taking a 16-11 lead on a traditional three-point play by sophomore forward Ed Ogundeko (Brooklyn, N.Y.) with 11:54 left in the first half. Fisher went on a seven-point run to take an 18-16 lead and increased its lead to 28-20 when sophomore guard Darrell Grady (Staten Island, N.Y.) returned the favor with three the old-fashioned way at the 5:06 mark.  Ogundeko blocked a shot and scored on the other end to make the score, 30-27, in Fisher's favor with under two minutes before the break, but the Falcons made four straight free throws to lead, 34-29, heading into the locker room.  Ogundeko led the Bantams with 10 points in the half, grabbing four rebounds, while Moore paced the Falcons with 11 points.

Trailing, 41-35, early in the second half, Trinity pulled to within one when sophomore swingman Chris Turnbull (Ridgewood, N.J.) recorded another traditional three-pointer for a 42-41 score at the 15:05 mark.  Senior guard Ira Haywood (Las Vegas, Nevada) answered for Fisher with a jumper and five straight points by Moore pushed the home team's advantage back up to 49-41 with 13:15 on the clock.  Bantam junior guard Rick Naylor (Sudbury, Vt.) and Turnbull drilled consecutive long balls to bring Trinity back again at 49-47 less than a minute later, but the Falcons pulled away by scoring the game's next eight points.  Trinity threatened twice more, once on a jam by Ogundeko to make the score, 60-56, with 6:10 left, and again on a pair of free throws by junior guard Jaquann Starks (Hartford, Conn.) to make it, 65-60, at the 2:12 mark, but Fisher answered with a mini-run each time, and the Bantams turned the ball over three times in the final two minutes.

Ogundeko managed a double-double for the Bantams, scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while junior forward Shay Ajayi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 10 boards, and junior guard Andrew Hurd (Windsor, Conn.) scored 11 points with three assists.  Trinity's reserves outscored its starters, 40-22, and the Bantams committed 19 turnovers and made five three-pointers in 19 attempts.  The Bantams finished with a 43-34 edge on the boards but were whistled for 24 fouls against just 17 for Fisher.
