MENOMONIE (January 14, 2015) - UW-Stout battled UW-Oshkosh in the Blue Devils' first overtime period of the season, but eventually fell short 66-60. Jarvis Ragland (Sr, Milwaukee) scored a game high 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Stout (3-12, 0-6 WIAC) came out fighting in Wednesday night's game against Oshkosh (9-6, 3-3 WIAC) in Johnson Fieldhouse. The game was tight through the majority of the first half. Stout gained a 15-14 lead mid way through the first half shortly after losing Hank Kujak (Jr, Blair) to a leg injury. The Titans fought back and ended the first half on top 28-22.

The Titans extended their lead to 13 at the beginning of the second half, but the Blue Devils soon went on a 14-2 run to get the score back even at 46 with five minutes left to play. From there, poor shooting by both teams led to a 49-49 tie at the end of regulation.

Oshkosh opened the overtime period on a 9-2 run. A clutch 3-pointer by Brett Ahsenmacher (So, Annandale, Minn.) and a tip-in by Ragland brought the game back within four points, but good free throw shooting by the Titans' Alex Olson sealed the game.

Three players for the Titans scored double digit points, Olsen also had 21, while Max Schebel contributed 18 and Kyle Bolger 13. Olsen scored 10 of his points in the overtime period, connecting on 5-of-6 free throws.

Ahsenmacher finished with 15 points and three assists, and D'Marcco Patrick (Fr, Kenosha) added 9 points. Poor free throw shooting, 11-21 from the line, plagued the Blue Devils.

Stout will play its next game at home against UW-Superior Jan. 17 at 3 p.m., and then will travel to UW-River Falls to face the Falcons Jan. 21 at 7 p.m.
