Buffalo State Rips Potsdam, 82-55

BUFFALO, NY—All five Buffalo State (4-5/1-3) starters scored in double figures and the Bengals raced out to an early lead en route to an 82-55 victory over visiting Potsdam (1-8/0-3) tonight at the Sports Arena.

Jordan Glover (Buffalo/Sweet Home) led the Bengals with 16 points and added four assists and three steals.  Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) and Lovell Smith (Buffalo/McKinley) poured in 15 points apiece, while Chris Cartwright (Binghamton/Binghamton) netted 13 points to go with seven assists, and Larry Rivers (Syracuse/Fowler) chipped in 10 points.

Cartwright nailed a three just 22 seconds into the game and the rout was on as the Bengals scored 12 of the game's first 15 points and led 42-21 at halftime.  Glover hit a pair of free throws for a technical foul assessed to the Potsdam bench before the second half began and Buffalo State never allowed Potsdam back in the game.

Buffalo State shot 53-percent from the field and was 7 of 19 from 3-point range.  Potsdam shot just 30-percent from the field for the game and made just 5 of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Bengals owned a 44-24 scoring advantage in the paint.

Buffalo State will host Plattsburgh for another SUNYAC game tomorrow at 2 p.m.
