MEN'S BASKETBALL LED BY REYNALDO ELOY AGAINST BARUCH

Brooklyn, NY- The Men's Basketball team fell to the Baruch College Bearcats 82-55 earlier today. The Bearcats improve to 7-3 overall and 4-0 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 1-9 overall and 0-4 CUNYAC. 

The Cougars tied the score at two, nearly three minutes into the game. They would score another basket until the 13th minute mark, nearly 6 minutes off the clock. Baruch would lead from the opening tip.

In the loss the Cougars were led by Freshman Guard Reynaldo Eloy with 16pts (6-15 FG-FGA, 2-5 3pt. FG-FGA, and 2-3 FT-FTA). Reynaldo grabbed three rebounds, dished out a team high three assists, and added two steals. Freshman Forward Tim Ballard scored nine points, and both Valin Williams and Justin Braxton grabbed a team high nine rebounds. 

Baruch was led by Chimaechi Ekekeugbor with a game high 18pts. Three other Bearcats scored in double figures including the following: Raymond De La Cruz (13pts), Granville Gittens (13pts), and Bryler Paige (11pts).

The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday January 6th, 2015, when they travel to Manhattan, NY and battle the Hunter College Hawks. Tip off will be 7:00pm.
