Trailing 62-59 with 1:06 left in regulation, Miles Dargan (Orlando, FL/Wekiva) was fouled while attempting a three-pointer and stepped up to the stripe and calmly drained all three free throw attempts to level the contest at 62-apiece.  On Sewanee's ensuing possession, Brody Stone collected an offensive rebound and scored on a layup to put the Tigers back up by two before missing a chance at a three-point play.

After a Keystone timeout, Lunsford tied the game at 64-64 on lay-in with 30 seconds left on the clock.  Sewanee then called a timeout of their own to draw up a play for the last shot and would be awarded a pair of free throws with one second left after a foul on the Giants.  The Tigers missed both free throw attempts, but Stone was there to grab the offensive rebound and put back the game-winning basket as the final horn sounded to give Sewanee the dramatic victory.

The contest was a tight affair through the full 40 minutes of play, with Sewanee holding a 16-10 lead with 12:29 remaining in the first half before James Cooper (Effort, PA/Pius X) connected on back-to-back three-pointers before Lunsford gave Keystone an 18-16 edge with a layup at the 10:52 mark.  The Tigers would go back in front and lead by as many as seven points before an 8-0 run by the Giants gave Keystone a 37-36 edge with 10 ticks left in the opening stanza as Dargan connected on a pair of free throws, but Sewanee was able to take a 38-37 edge into the locker room at halftime by making a pair of their own from the charity stripe with three second remaining.
