(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Senior forward Jalen Clark (Frankfort, Ky./Western Hills) scored a game-high 22 points today (Saturday, December 6, 2014) to lead the Thomas More College men's basketball team to a 71-57 win over Westminster College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Titans fall to 2-6 overall and 0-1 in the PAC.

Thomas More jumped out to an early 6-0 lead when sophomore guard/forward Nate McGovney (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) made a jumper with 16:49 to play in the opening half.  Westminster used an 8-2 run capped by a Jarret Vrabel lay-up with 12:23 to play in the half to cut the lead to 10-8.  The Saints answered with a 28-10 run to extend the lead to 38-18 when senior forward Drew Mumford (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy) converted and old fashion three-point play with 2:38 to play in the first half.  Westminster closed out the half on a 7-2 run to cut the Saints' lead to 40-28 at halftime when Charlie Wallander made one-of-two free-throws with one-second to play in the half.

The Titans opened the second half on a 19-10 run to cut the lead to 50-44 with 9:17 to play in the game when Khurazze Williams made two free-throws.  That would be as close as Westminster would come as Thomas More led by as many as 16 points and closed out the game on a 21-13 run for the 71-57 victory.

Two other Saints joined Clark in double-figure scoring as Mumford finished with 20 and McGovney added 13.  Clark and Mumford led the team on the boards with seven rebounds each, while McGovney led the team in assists with five.

Thomas More is idle until December 17 when it travels to Franklin, Indiana to play Franklin College at 8 p.m.
