Guard Jordan Denham scored a career-high 14 points for the Hope College men's basketball team in a 77-66 loss to seventh-ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday.
The junior from Southfield, Michigan (Lathrup HS), went 5-of-7 from the field and hit two 3-pointers off the bench.
The Flying Dutchmen fell to 0-2 on the season after losses to two nationally ranked opponents.
Sophomore forward Harrison Blackledge of Canton, Ohio (Hoover HS), scored 12 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Junior guard Alex Eidson of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), had 10 points.
Hope returns to action on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28-29, at the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. The Flying Dutchmen play Cornerstone at 6 p.m. Friday and Aquinas at 8 p.m.
