MIDDLETOWN, P.A. – After yesterday's overtime loss in the season opener, the York College men's basketball team rebounded nicely in the consolation game of the Penn State-Harrisburg Tournament, beating the host Nittany Lions, 69-61. 

The first half scoring went back and forth, as the score differential never went above five points until there was 4:00 left in the half. The Cardinals and the Nittany Lions each gained the lead three different times in the first half, including six tied scores in total. The half ended with a momentum-boosting steal and dunk orchestrated by Omar St. John that brought the score to 35-31.

The Nittany Lions couldn't get much going after halftime, and the Cardinals led the entire second half.  Ryan St. John made three of his four 3-pointers, collecting 9 points in the second half. Ryan St. John led the Cardinals with 14 points, while Omar St. John added 13 points and five assists. Jaron Williams grabbed 17 rebounds, matching his career single-game high.  Du'Quan Lawson handed out seven assists and Cyril Reid chipped in seven points and seven boards.  Arick Sodini led Penn State-Harrisburg with 14 points.

York (1-1) will be idle next week before returning to action on Tuesday, November 25 when they face off against CUNYAC opponent Medgar Evers College.
