NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College men's basketball team (17-5, 13-2 Skyline) broke the century mark for the first time in over a year en route to a 106-57 rout of NYU-Poly (4-18, 2-13 Skyline) in Skyline Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Kaplan Center.

The Knights last scored 100 points back on Jan. 24, 2013, when they defeated St. Joseph's College (L.I.), 102-45, at the Kaplan Center. Saturday's game surpasses the Knights' previous season-high of 94 points, which they scored in a road win at Farmingdale State College on Jan. 25.

The Knights hit their first double-digit lead at the 14:48 mark on a senior guard Donte Howell (Baldwin, N.Y.) layup. They led by as many as 33 points in the opening frame, taking a 56-23 lead into the break. Senior guard AJ Uhl (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) nailed five threes for 15 points in the opening half to lead the Knights.

The second half mirrored the first, as the Knights' lead never dipped under 26 points. The home team's largest lead came on the final basket, a three-pointer by sophomore guard Mike Callari (White Plains, N.Y.) with under 10 seconds to play, that put the Knights up by 49.

Senior guard Joe Stabach (Staten Island, N.Y.) matched Uhl for the team lead with 15 points on the afternoon. Senior forward Joe Henain (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) grabbed his second straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Howell scored nine and dished out a team-high eight assists, while senior forward Chris Pisciotta (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) scored eight and grabbed 10 boards.

Thomas Fabian led the Fighting Blue Jays with 12 points on the afternoon. Ed Klementowicz followed with 11, while Isaac Neaves added 10. Neaves picked up team highs with six rebounds and four assists.

The Knights shot 53.4 percent (39-of-73) from the field on Saturday, including 14 three-pointers. They outrebounded their opponents, 44-30, and forced 19 turnovers while giving the ball away just 10 times. The Knight bench played a big role in the blowout victory, scoring 49 of the Knights' 106 points.

The Knights return to action on Monday, Feb. 17, when they host SUNY College at Old Westbury in the makeup game from Thursday, Feb. 13. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m., immediately following the women's basketball game against Baruch College at 6 p.m.
