St. Thomas (16-3 overall, 13-1 MIAC) became the first men's team to secure a spot in the six-team MIAC playoffs. It's UST's 15th consecutive conference playoff trip and league-best 27th time qualifying in the 30-year history of the format.
The Toms, who their fourth in a row, extended their lead to one game over idle St. Olaf atop the MIAC standings with six games to play.
UST shot 55 percent from the floor and had a 36-13 rebounding advantage. Seven different Toms sank at least one 3-pointer. Zach Riedeman added 10 points and four steals.
The Toms play at home Wednesday against Bethel.
