Altoona, PA - Led by Shawn Greenfield's 40 points and tremendous shooting from behind the arc, the Mount Aloysius men's basketball team defeated Penn State-Altoona 95-80 in an AMCC contest on Wednesday evening.
Greenfield shot 13-for-20 overall and 7-for-9 from three-point range for his season high. Dillon Bender added 21, including four three-point shots, and Davario Barksdaleregistered a 3-for-3 clip from long range while finishing with 13 points.
Overall, the Mounties shot 17-for-32 from three-point range.
After the Mount had as 26-25 lead with 8:48 to play in the first half, they went on a 15-2 run over the next three and a half minutes to take control. Altoona fought back in the second half to cut the deficit to four points, but Greenfield hit back-to-back three pointers to help the visitors regain control.
The Mounties improve to 4-3 in AMCC play and 7-6 overall.
