Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysis men's basketball team ran past visiting Franciscan on Monday evening, defeating the Barons by a final score of 102-81 in AMCC action.
Shawn Greenfield led the Mount Aloysius charge with 25 points on a 7-for-10 showing from the field. Tanner Thomas had 18 points and eight rebounds, while Dillon Bender (13) and Dameon Turner (10) also finished in double figures.
The Mounties got great contributions from their bench. Noyle Doyle registered eight points and seven assists. Drew Knowles had nine points on 4-for-4 shooting, and Clint Wagner hustled for 11 rebounds.
Mount Aloysius raced to a 54-37 halftime lead and kept the deficit at double digits throughout the second half to record the conference win.
The Mount returns to action on Wednesday evening with a 6 p.m. trip to Pitt-Greensburg.
