The Baruch College Bearcats dropped a 73-66 CUNYAC road contest to the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Friday night at the "Doghouse".

The Bearcats shot 44.2 percent (23-for-52) and led by 11 points (55-44) through the first nine minutes of the second half, but the Bloodhounds finished the game with a 29-11 run to record the come-back victory in front of their fans.

The Bloodhounds received 52 total points from their bench and that played a pivotal factor during the second half rally.

Matas Rascius scored in double-figures for the third time in his last four games, but missed a double-double with 15 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots.

Granville Gittens (14 pts, 6 rbs), Raymond De La Cruz (12 pts) and Edward Roscigno (11pts, 8 rbs, 4 asst) rounded out the double-figures scorers this evening. Ryan Markoe contributed a career-high six assists.

Kris Owens led the home team with 34 points and seven rebounds.

Baruch will return home to the ARC Arena on Wednesday, January 29, for a 7:30 pm CUNYAC home game against York College.
