PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche men's basketball (5-3, 3-1) cruised to a 98-69 victory over D'Youville (0-9, 0-3) in AMCC Conference action on Saturday at the Kerr Fitness Center.
The Redhawks entered the half holding onto a 43-35 lead. Andre Flanigan led all scorers with 13 points and Jean Freeman grabbed 6 boards. La Roche held a 31-16 advantage on the glass and made 12 of 15 free throws.
La Roche upped the tempo to outscore the visiting Spartans by nineteen in the second half and cruised to the conference victory.
Flanigan finished with a game-high 17 points. Zaire Redding registered a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds while Lionel Perkins netted 13 points and 7 assists. David Jackson had 6 points and 8 boards and Neal McKown chipped in 9 points.
The Redhawks had a tremendous day on the glass and outrebounded the visiting Spartans 56-22. La Roche finished with 24 team assists and made 17 of 22 shots from the free throw line.
La Roche men's hoops will host city rival Carnegie Mellon on Wednesday in a non-conference game. Tipoff is 7PM.
