ROCHESTER, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior forward Gordon Lyons scored game-highs with 21 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Knights to a 72-55 victory over host RIT in the consolation semifinals of the Wendy's College Class, Friday night.

Fourth-seeded Geneseo (3-1) will take on second-seeded Hobart at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the fifth-place game, hosted by St. John Fisher.

Senior guard Connor Fedge, who missed the first two games of the season with a minor foot injury, added 16 points while adding three assists, three steals and a 6-of-7 showing at the free-throw line for the Knights.

"This was a good win for us. I was very pleased with the way we came back after a disappointing performance on Wednesday," said head coach Steve Minton. "We did a great job on the boards in the second half and really limited their second chances. It's also good having Connor Fedge back in the lineup as his presence and leadership help us a great deal."

Geneseo jumped out to a 18-4 lead on a three-pointer by senior forward Matt Curry with 13:22 to play in the first half. The Tigers would go on an 11-3 run to cut the lead to six, 21-15, but Geneseo would reclaim a double-digit lead with a run of its own, including all of junior forward Devon Anderson's eight points, to take a 43-33 lead into halftime.

In the second half, RIT would get as close as six points, 49-43, with 13:17 to play, but Geneseo would slowly pull away, limiting the Tigers to only three field goals in the final 10 minutes of play en route to the 15-point decision.
