ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Sophomore Jerrome Jones scored 20 of his game-high 26 points in the second half as the Lehman College men's basketball team won at Bard College in a non-conference game on Friday night, 88-80.

Jones shot 5-for-6 from the field and scored 11 points in the first 5:22 of the second half to push Lehman's one-point halftime lead to eight. The Lightning (4-3) pushed the bulge to 14 at one point, but never allowed Bard (2-4) to get closer than five.

Lehman dominated on the boards, especially on the offensive end, grabbing a decided 44-31 advantage. Lehman had 21 offensive rebounds, resulting in 21 second-chance points. More than half (46) of Lehman's points were in the paint.

Jones added 13 rebounds to share the team lead with junior Brandon Stolz (Bronx, N.Y./Harry Truman), who scored 22 of his own points. Senior Kelvin Gil (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) added 17 points from the perimeter, providing an effective inside-outside combination.

Lehman takes the remainder of the weekend off, and continues its three-game road swing on Tuesday, December 10, playing at John Jay College in an important CUNY Athletic Conference game.
