It was a close match in the opening period until the 14:35 mark when the Mustangs put together an 11-0 run over the next three minutes to open the game to a 13 point margin.

Maritime was able to climb their way back to within three on a long bomb from Tim McNamara (Somerville, N.J) with 6:15 to go in the half, but an answering three by Hanks on the ensuing Mustang possession sent Morrisville State on a 19-2 spurt to close the period with a 46-26 lead at the break.

In the second, Morrisville State built up as many as a 30 point advantage as the Privateers stalled offensively, shooting a mere 19.4 percent from the floor to the Mustangs 56.5.
