Blue Devils climb out of late deficit, fall in OT to Mount Mercy

WAVERLY, Iowa (November 15, 2013) - UW-Stout trailed by 16 points with six minutes left in regulation. But Stout battled back and Jimmy Whitehead (Sr, La Crosse) hit a 3-pointer to send the game into overtime, only to fall to Mount Mercy University, 84-83 in the opening game at the Buzz Levick Tournament at Wartburg College.

Whitehead led all scorers with 24 points, 15 in the second half. Alex Oman (Sr, Lake Elmo, Minn) added 20 points and Phil Freeman (Jr, Eagan, Minn) finished with 12 points.

Tajric Boggs scored 23 points to lead Mount Mercy (2-5).
