Hot-Shooting Bombers Defeat Springfield 89-77 In NCAA First-Round Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Ithaca College men's basketball team used a game-changing three minute stretch of the second half to take control of the game and went on to an 89-77 win over Springfield (19-9) in an NCAA Division III Men's Basketball first-round tournament game at Springfield's Blake Arena. The Bombers are 20-8 on the year and advance to a second-round game next weekend.

Trailing 59-50 with approximately 12 minutes remaining in the second half, the Bombers went on a 15-point run in about three minutes to build a six-point lead and they never trailed again.
